Berekum Chelsea dedicated their hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Ghana Premier League leaders Medeama SC to their late player, Dominic Frimpong, who tragically lost his life last month following an armed robbery attack on the team bus.The Blues delivered an emotional performance at the Golden City Park, with players wearing inner shirts bearing Frimpong’s image as a mark of respect. Every goal was celebrated with deep passion, the team visibly playing for something bigger than the three points.Frimpong was shot and killed on April 12 when armed robbers ambushed the Berekum Chelsea team bus as it returned from a league match. He was on loan at the club from Aduana FC.The victory, which lifted Berekum Chelsea away from the relegation zone, was a tribute to their fallen teammate. Players pointed to the sky after the final whistle, honouring the memory of a young man whose promising career was cut short. For the Blues, the win was more than just a result. It was a heartfelt farewell to a brother. They will, however, be preparing for their next game against Dreams FC
