BetPawa Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to Ghana football after unveiling a GH¢3.5 million sponsorship package for the Black Stars and Black Queens ahead of their major international assignments.

The sponsorship was officially announced at a ceremony attended by officials of the Ghana Football Association and representatives of BetPawa, with the package expected to support both national teams as they prepare for crucial tournaments.

The Black Stars are currently intensifying preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, having already played a friendly against Mexico and with another scheduled against Wales on June 2 before the tournament begins later this month in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The Black Queens are also gearing up for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where they will be aiming to re-establish themselves among the continent’s top sides and challenge for honours.

Speaking at the launch, BetPawa’s Head of Local Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility, Borah Ndanyunga, said the company’s support goes beyond sponsorship and reflects a belief in the power of Ghana football to inspire the nation.

“Football is one of Ghana’s greatest unifiers. Every time the Black Stars or Black Queens step onto the pitch, millions of dreams travel with them. Our role is not simply to sponsor football but to stand behind those dreams and help create the conditions for success,” he said.

“This support reflects our belief that when Ghanaian football wins, the entire nation moves forward together.”

GFA Vice President Mark Addo welcomed the partnership, describing it as a strong vote of confidence in the future of Ghana football.

“Today’s event and announcement matters to the GFA because it sends a clear message that Ghana football has partners that believe in its future,” Addo stated.

“To the Black Stars and Black Queens, I say this: the support you receive today is not merely a reward. It is a vote of confidence in your ability, your character, and your capacity to make Ghana proud.”

The sponsorship is expected to provide a significant boost to both teams as they seek success on the global and continental stage, with hopes high that the Black Stars and Black Queens can deliver memorable performances for Ghana in the months ahead.
