The Black Queens have sealed their place in the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Egypt, completing a commanding 7-0 aggregate win.

The sterling performance was powered by a hat trick from Doris Boaduwaa and a debut senior goal from Comfort Yeboah, showcasing Ghana’s growing dominance in African women’s football.

It took just 52 minutes for the Queens to break the deadlock as Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring with a clinical finish that set the tone for the remainder of the match.

The hosts continued to press and extend their lead in rapid succession, leaving the Egyptian defense struggling to cope.

Three minutes later, a well-executed buildup by Grace Asantewaa found Princess, who skillfully laid the ball off for Doris to slot home her second goal of the night.

Ghana’s attacking prowess was further highlighted by Comfort Yeboah, who scored her first senior international goal just two minutes after that, with a brilliant strike that sent the fans into raptures.

Deep into stoppage time in the 92nd minute, captain Stella Nyamekye provided the assist for Doris Boaduwaa to complete her hat trick, capping off a phenomenal individual and team display.

This victory not only advances Ghana to their 14th WAFCON appearance but also sends a clear message to their continental rivals.

The Black Queens now prepare for the next stage of WAFCON with high confidence, bolstered by a youthful squad capable of making a significant impact.

Their dominant win against Egypt affirms Ghana’s status as one of Africa’s leading women’s football nations.
