The Black Queens have maintained their spot in the top 5 in the Latest FIFA Women’s national team rankings for Africa.

The Queens finished 4th on the list after an impressive run of form in their qualifying campaign for the women’s African Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Ghana finds itself just behind Nigeria, Morocco, and South Africa. The three countries on the other hand had a very fruitful tournament making it out from the group stage of the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The Black Queens had a good start to the year, ranked at 3rd place in Africa and 59th in the world. The Queens have currently slipped to 61st in the world which amounted more on their absence in the Women’s World Cup this year.

Although the Queens fell off some places in the latest ranking, they have had the best year with Coach Nora Hauptle winning 10 games out of her first 11 games, conceding just two goals and scoring 34 goals.

This remarkable record handed the Black Queens, the team with the longest winning streak and most wins in 2023.
