Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has been arrested at the Kotoka International Airport after his name was entered into the airport’s “waiting system.”
The arrest is reportedly related to a breach of contract with a Greek event organizer.According to reports, the reigning VGMAs ‘Artiste Of the Year’ was supposed to perform at a yacht party for a group of wealthy individuals in Greece in early July.
However, he was unable to attend the event due to prior commitments.
The event organizer claims that Sherif’s management charged them $40,000 for the performance and took a $20,000 deposit. However, Sherif did not show up for the event, and the organizer has now had him arrested.
Sherif has not yet commented on the arrest. It is unclear what charges he is facing or whether he will be extradited to Greece.
