Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif made a triumphant return to his roots after a massive win at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) where he clinched several awards, including the prestigious Artiste of the Year Award. The rapper, who has never shied away from highlighting his humble beginnings in most of his songs, took the opportunity to visit his hometown in the Ashanti Region to express his appreciation to the people for their unwavering support.
On his arrival, Black Sherif was given a grand welcome by a convoy of cars, causing a huge traffic buildup in Konongo Zongo, his hometown. He was swamped by fans and well-wishers who wanted to catch a glimpse of the superstar and congratulate him on his success. The rapper did not disappoint, as he interacted with the fans and took pictures with some of them.
Black Sherif also paid a visit to the Konongo Odumase Senior High School, where he treated the students to a breathtaking live performance. The students were thrilled to see the VGMA Artiste of the Year perform some of his hit songs, and they sang word for word.
