The Ghana U17 boys team have departed the country for Côte d’Ivoire to engage their West African neighbors in a double-header friendly as part of preparations for the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The team left earlier today with a 40-man contingent made up of 25 players and 15 technical and management staff, all focused on fine-tuning their readiness ahead of the tournament.
Both matches are scheduled to be played at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, with the first fixture set for Tuesday, April 28 and the second on Friday, May 1.
The games will serve as crucial test matches for both sides as they assess their strengths and weaknesses before the competition.
The Black Starlets are returning to the continental stage after a nine-year absence, with their last appearance coming in 2017, where they finished as runners-up.
Ghana have been drawn in Group D alongside Algeria, South Africa and Senegal, ad they aim to make a strong impact on their return.
