The Black Starlets will face Mali in their final international friendly match ahead of the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The game forms part of Ghana’s final preparations for the continental tournament as head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and his technical team continue fine-tuning the squad ahead of the competition.
The Black Starlets have already played two preparatory matches against Ivory Coast during their recent training tour in Abidjan.
Ghana lost 2-0 in the first game but responded strongly in the second game with an emphatic 4-0 victory over the Young Elephants, all games honoured at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium.
The technical handlers are expected to use the clash against Mali to assess the players further, finalize squad plans and build momentum ahead of Ghana’s opening match at the tournament.
Both Ghana and Mali are currently camping in Mohammedia as they intensify preparations for the U-17 AFCON. The friendly is expected to provide another strong test for the Black Starlets before the tournament officially begins.
The match is scheduled for 16:00GMT (4:00pm) on Saturday, May 9, in Mohammedia, Morocco.
