The Black Stars have expressed their appreciation to members of the Rhode Island Sheriff’s Department and the security personnel assigned to the team by presenting them with official Ghana jerseys following the conclusion of their FIFA World Cup group-stage campaign.

The gesture was made in recognition of the officers’ outstanding service, professionalism and unwavering support throughout the team’s stay in the United States.

The security team played a key role in ensuring the safety and smooth movement of the Ghana delegation during the group phase, working closely with team officials throughout the tournament.

The presentation highlighted the strong relationship between the Black Stars and the local security agencies that assisted the squad during their time in Rhode Island.

With the group stage behind them, the Black Stars have now departed for Kansas to continue preparations for their Round of 32 encounter against Colombia.

Ghana secured qualification to the knockout stage after an impressive group campaign and will be aiming to extend their run at the tournament when they face the South Americans on Friday in Kansas City, with a place in the Round of 16 at stake.
