The Ghana Football Association has released the official squad numbers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Coventry City forward Brandon Thomas-Asante handed the iconic No.10 shirt.

With veteran Andre Ayew absent from the final squad and Mohammed Kudus ruled out through injury, the technical team has given the prestigious number to Thomas-Asante.

Captain Jordan Ayew will wear his familiar No.9 jersey, while Thomas Partey retains the Bo.5. In-form Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has been assigned No.11, Baba Abdul Rahman returns with No.17, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku keeps the No.7 shirt.

The release of the squad numbers comes as the Black Stars prepare for their final warm-up matches against Wales later today and Jamaica on June 10.

Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They will open their campaign against Panama on June 17, before facing England on June 23 and Croatia on June 27.

All attention will now shift to how the players perform in their respective numbers as Carlos Queiroz looks to build momentum heading into the tournament.
