Brentford is reportedly keeping tabs on Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman, currently enjoying a stellar season with PAOK Thessaloniki, as they seek to bolster their left-back options.

According to West London news, the Premier League side is prepared to secure Rahman’s signature for a modest £5 million in the summer transfer window.

The Bees have been left vulnerable in the full-back area following Rico Henry’s long-term injury, which is set to sideline him for the remainder of this season and the start of the next.

Their attempt to fill the void with a short-term loan deal for Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilón has provided limited relief, as the Spanish defender is due to return to his parent club in the summer. Sergio Reguilón is currently suspended due to a red card he received. He will be available for selection from 3rd April.

Brentford has identified Rahman, a former Chelsea player, as a potential solution to their defensive woes.

The 29-year-old has been a standout performer for PAOK, contributing four goals and two assists in 19 league games as they challenge for the Greek Super League title. Despite a recent injury setback on March 19th, Rahman is expected to return to action shortly, according to Greek reports.

Rahman, who joined PAOK as a free agent after his departure from Chelsea, could be poised for a Premier League comeback. His impressive form in both European and domestic competitions has caught the attention of Brentford scouts, who are eager to bring him back to English football.
