Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed to sign 19-year-old Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Osman from Danish club Nordsjaelland on a five-year contract, effective in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The transfer fee is reportedly around £16 million, although Brighton has not disclosed the exact amount.

Technical Director David Weir expressed excitement about the young player’s potential, stating, “He’s a young and exciting prospect, but for now it’s important that we give him the space to focus fully on Nordsjaelland, where he is enjoying a good season.”

Weir emphasised the importance of allowing Osman to concentrate on his current team and have a proper rest before integrating him into Brighton’s setup.

“Once the current season is over and he’s had the opportunity to rest during the summer, we will bring him into our environment where he will get the time and support he needs to settle here in England.”

Osman has four goals and five assists for his club from 29 appearances this season. He was initially linked with a move to West Ham.
