KENYA – A grieving family was left shocked and heartbroken after being involved in a road accident while ferrying the body of their loved one home for burial.
This came after the bus carrying the body of Christine Nancha from Kibera, Nairobi county, and headed to Kisumu county, overturned when it reached Kipkelion in Kericho county.
According to reports, the driver lost control moments before the vehicle overturned along the road, causing massive destruction.
Moreover, the impact of the crash broke open the coffin carrying Nancha’s body, exposing it to passengers and bystanders.

The horrific scene was made even worse when one passenger reportedly died in the crash, while scores of others sustained injuries.
Those who were injured were rushed to the hospital as police launched investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
At the scene, the destroyed coffin was left open, while the body, which had been removed from it, was respectfully covered on the grass.
The vehicle, which was a church bus, was also captured lying on its side, with items scattered all over the area.
Bystanders watched in horror, forming small groups as they discussed what was unfolding before their eyes.
