The 14th General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) takes place today Wednesday March 12, 2025, in Cairo, Egypt.
The CAF Extraordinary General Assembly is an elective congress for CAF President, together with some members of the CAF Executive Committee and six representatives of Africa in the FIFA Council.
Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku is preparing to take his seat on the powerful council – which is the highest decision-making body aside the General Assembly of the continent’s governing body.
The President is attending the General Assembly with Vice-President Mark Addo and General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo, Esq.
The CAF Executive Committee (EXCO) has held series of meetings to discuss progress and the future of African football under Dr. Patrice Motsepe.
Key African football leaders, including presidents of CAF’s 54 Member Associations and its six Zonal Unions, as well as senior international football stakeholders, are attending the three-day event, which started on Monday March 10, 2025.
The 14th CAF Extraordinary General Assembly will be held in Cairo on Wednesday, 12 March 2025, at the Marriott Mena House.
CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe has been nominated unopposed for the second term.
