KANSAS CITY, MO – JULY 03: Caleb Yirenkyi #3 of Ghana winds up to kick the ball in the first half of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 match between Colombia and GhanaGhana midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi will become the most expensive signing from the Danish Superliga following his imminent move to the English Premier League to join Coventry City.The 20-year-old has agreed a deal to join the Premier League returnees, and has already flown to England to complete the necessary paper work.He is expected to undergo a mandatory medical on Thursday before putting pen to paper on a lucrative deal.Yirenkyi will cost Coventry a whooping 27 million with an extra 3 million in bonuses from FC Nordsjaelland, and should the move be completed, it will be the most expensive transfer from Denmark.The Right to Dream Academy graduate will also break the record set by former teammate Ernest Nuamah, who joined RWD Moleenbeek for 25 million.Meanwhile, in the top ten list of expensive transfers from the Danish Superliga are Yirenkyi’s Ghanaian compatriots, Ibrahim Osman and Kamaldeen Sulemana, who joined Brighton and Stade Rennais for 19.5 million and 17 million respectively.All four Ghanaian players on the list are graduands of the famous Right to Dream Academy and signed for their various clubs from FC Nordsjaelland.The Superliga side remains a developmental hub for Ghanaian players, with Tottenham Hotspur star Mohammed Kudus also passing through the same system.Below is the top ten most expensive transfers from the Danish league:
