Carlos Queiroz has retained key members of Ghana’s backroom staff as he begins shaping his technical team for the national side ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Former internationals John Paintsil and Fatau Dauda will continue in their roles within the Black Stars technical setup, providing continuity and local experience. Queiroz has also confirmed that Dennis Offei will remain part of his backroom staff as one of his assistant coaches.

The decision signals a blend of stability and transition as the new head coach works to assemble a capable team within a short preparation window. Sources indicate that Queiroz is expected to name a five-member technical team in the coming days as preparations intensify.

The Portuguese tactician is tasked with rebuilding confidence and competitiveness in the squad as Ghana aims to make a strong impression on the global stage.
