The highly anticipated second edition of Channel One TV’s National Swimming Championship is scheduled to commence today, Saturday, July 13, at the Borteyman Sports Complex, featuring over 150 swimmers competing across various age categories.
The second part of the competition will continue on Sunday, July 14, where the winners will be crowned.
At the recently concluded 2024 Meet of Champions at the Borteyman Sports Complex, the GH Dolphins surpassed last season’s winners, the Marlins, by securing 47 gold medals, 35 silver medals, and 22 bronze medals to emerge as champions.
The inaugural edition saw over 150 swimmers showcase their abilities at the Channel One TV National Swimming Championship.
At the end of the inaugural competition at Burma Camp Sports Complex, the Marlins Swim Team emerged as the overall winners, sweeping a total of 63 medals, comprising 34 gold medals, 19 silver, and 10 bronze in both the male and female categories.
The one-day event brought together various swim teams from across the nation, with the Marlins emerging as Ghana’s best at the Burma Camp Sports Complex, winning a total of 63 medals.
