Brazilian youngster Deivid Washington has completed a move to Chelsea from Santos.
After a successful season with the Brazilian outfit, the 18-year-old forward has joined the Premier League signing a long-term deal with Chelsea which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2030 with an option for a further year.
With his face beaming with smiles, he said, “I am very happy to be joining a huge team, Chelsea. I can’t wait to make my debut here at such a big club with loads of goals and assists. Pride of London.”
This move comes after the arrival of fellow Brazilian Angelo Gabriel, who transferred from the same team to the Blues, and Andrey Santos, who came from Vasco da Gama in January.
Washington is expected to hone his talents under Pochettino and eventually help solve the chronic goalscoring woes of the club.
After starting his career with Gremio, the talented attacker switched to Santos in 2016. He attracted attention while playing for Santos’ youth team, and his goal-scoring prowess led to his promotion to the first team.
