Ahead of Ghana’s crucial game against the Pharaohs of Egypt, manager of the team, Chris Hughton has emphasized the need to assess the fitness of Mohammed Kudus.
The West Ham United talisman suffered a knock during the game against Arsenal on December 28, 2023.
The injury delayed Kudus’ arrival to camp for preparations ahead of the Nations Cup in Cote d’Ivoire.
While addressing the media before the second group game against Egypt, coach Chris Hughton reiterated the need to assess Kudus’ fitness before kick-off.
According to Hughton, the technical team has today and tomorrow morning to determine the availability of the player.
Kudus trained this week but has been under close observation from the medical team.
The Black Stars are currently bottom of Group B without a point. The Black Stars will slug it out with Egypt while Mozambique take on Cape Verde.
