Ghanaian right-back Christopher Acheampong has joined Lokomotiv Gorna Oryahovitsa from CSKA 1948 on loan, strengthening the Bulgarian second-tier clubs defensive options for the 2026-27 season.

The 26-year-olds move was completed on 14 August 2026 and runs until 30 June 2027. Acheampong will return to CSKA 1948 when the loan expires, with the defender remaining under contract with the efbet Liga club.

Acheampong moves to Lokomotiv GO after spending the previous campaign on loan at Montana. He returned to CSKA 1948 at the end of that spell on 30 June 2026 before making his next temporary switch.

The Ghanaian began his association with CSKA 1948 at the clubs second team, joining from Accra Lions in February 2022. He moved into CSKA 1948s senior squad in January 2025, before heading to Montana for the 2025-26 season.

His latest transfer gives Lokomotiv Gorna Oryahovitsa a right-footed defender capable of operating at right-back. Acheampong is listed at 1.71m and has Ghanaian nationality.

Lokomotiv Gorna Oryahovitsa compete in Bulgarias Vtora Liga, while CSKA 1948 play in the countrys top flight. The move therefore takes Acheampong to a new club within the Bulgarian league system while keeping his registration tied to CSKA 1948.

Acheampong joins Lokomotiv GO with a market value of 150,000 and a loan agreement that concludes on 30 June 2027.
