Former Asante Kotoko SC and Accra Hearts of Oak SC defender Christopher Bonney has completed a permanent transfer to Uganda Premier League side Kitara FC.
The Ghanaian centre-back makes the move as Kitara strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season and their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Bonney is expected to play a key role in the club’s domestic and continental campaigns after Kitara secured qualification for Africa’s second-tier inter-club competition.
The defender brings valuable experience to the Ugandan side, having previously featured for two of Ghana’s most successful clubs, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
His arrival is seen as a significant addition to Kitara’s backline as the club prepares for the demands of competing on multiple fronts.
Bonney’s move also marks another step in his career, with the defender set to test himself in Ugandan football while gaining continental experience in the CAF Confederation Cup.
