Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Samini, has paid a heartfelt tribute to Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, following news of his death.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, July 27, 2025, and sighted by GhanaWeekend, Samini described Daddy Lumba as a legend who will forever live on in the hearts of Ghanaians.
“A Legend has fallen,
But He shall live on in our memories forever.
Our last encounter was when I performed at your Legends Nite celebration in UK.
Rest well but Live on, DADDY LUMBA
#RIP Daddy,” he wrote.
Daddy Lumba, known in private life as Charles Kojo Fosu, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, while on admission at the Bank Hospital in Accra.
His death has sparked widespread tributes across the country and beyond, as fans, fellow musicians, and industry players mourn the loss of one of Ghana’s most celebrated musical icons.
