Deloitte Ghana Boss urges Leicester alumni to drive change in society

Call us

Country Managing Partner of Deloitte Ghana, Daniel Kwadwo Owusu, has urged members of the University of Leicester Alumni Association, Ghana Chapter, to become change makers and make a meaningful impact in society.

He made the call during the media launch of the Chapter’s Centenary Celebration, which marks 100 years of societal contribution by the global alumni network.

Mr. Owusu encouraged alumni to be known as problem solvers and active agents of change within their communities.

“As we launch this centenary celebration, let’s commit not only to remembering where we have come from but to reimagine what we can become as individuals and as a network. Let us mentor the next generation, let us be visible in public discourse. Let us collaborate to solve real problems. Let us keep behind footprints that have featured Leicester students to be proud to follow.”

President of the University of Leicester Alumni Association, Ghana Chapter, Dr. Annie Babah-Alargi, outlined the schedule of activities lined up for the centenary celebration.

“To celebrate the alumni centenary in this country, the Chapter will organise a series of events including a tree planting, dinner dance and business summit. The dinner dance will honour deserving alumni members whose contributions and impact have sustained the association as well as communities. This will take place at the Alisa Hotel on 5th December, 2025.”
