After years of searching, Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has finally found her biological father.

The late Peter Ala Adjetey, a former Speaker of Parliament and a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was revealed to be her father in her new memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.”

Nelson had long suspected that Adjetey was her father, but she had never been able to confirm it. In her book, she recounts how she contacted Adjetey’s firstborn child, Gabby Adjetey, to try to get more information. Gabby was initially shocked by Nelson’s claims, but he eventually agreed to take a DNA test.

The results of the test confirmed that Nelson was indeed Adjetey’s biological daughter.

Nelson’s discovery has brought her a great deal of peace. She has said that she is now able to “move on with her life” knowing who her real father is. She has also expressed gratitude to Gabby for helping her to find her father.

“I had always wondered who my father was,” Nelson wrote in her book. “It was a question that haunted me for years. But now, finally, I know the truth. And it feels good to finally have closure.”

Nelson’s story is a reminder that even when the truth is difficult to find, it is always worth searching for. She is an inspiration to anyone who has ever wondered about their own parentage.

“I hope that my story will give others the courage to search for their own fathers,” Nelson said. “It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it in the end.”

Nelson’s discovery has also brought her closer to her half-brother, Gabby Adjetey. The two have been in touch since the DNA test results came back, and they are now planning to meet in person.

“I’m so grateful to Gabby for helping me to find my father,” Nelson said. “He’s a wonderful person, and I’m so happy to have him in my life.”
