His comments come amid widespread protests in Ghana, where citizens have rallied against the environmental destruction caused by illegal mining. Despite the momentum of the protests, Doji’s take reflects a more pessimistic outlook, hinting at the political and economic complexities surrounding galamsey.

Switching gears to his music career, Doji Sonx also spoke about his 13-year hiatus and the changes in the industry since his breakthrough hit.

He shared how being independent during the release of “Yenko Nkoaa” allowed him creative freedom, opting for a local vibe in the music video, while other artists at the time leaned towards Western influences.

Now, with a full management team behind him, Doji emphasized how the music industry has evolved into a business-driven environment. “Music now is not about talent alone, it’s about talent and business. I have to listen more to the people putting money into my music because it’s more than just for the love of it,” he explained.

As he promotes his latest single “Rokotor,” Doji revealed his admiration for Kuami Eugene, hinting at a possible collaboration. He also teased his next release, “Vibrator,” adding to the excitement surrounding his return to the music scene. Stream/Download Rokotor on preferred platform HERE!
