The Member of Parliament for Dormaa East, Paul Apraku Twum Barima, has underscored the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of Ghanaians through impactful social intervention policies. This steadfast dedication is a testament to the party’s pledge to serve the people.
Speaking to party supporters at a mini-rally in Asuotiano, he illuminated the NPP’s achievements in implementing programs like the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Free Senior High School (SHS), and Free Maternal Care. These initiatives have not only positively affected households across the country but also instilled a sense of hope and optimism for a brighter future.
Hon. Twum Barima stressed that the NPP’s initiatives, including providing free water, electricity, and hot meals for students during the COVID-19 pandemic, showcase the party’s dedication to alleviating hardship and advancing national development.
He urged voters to uphold the NPP in power during the upcoming elections, emphasizing that these policies are a reflection of the party’s inspiring vision for a prosperous Ghana. This vision should inspire and motivate every Ghanaian to support the NPP.
The MP swiped at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), criticizing their handling of the energy crisis during the “Dumsor” era, which he described as a critical reason to vote against former President John Mahama and the NDC.
He argued that the NDC’s track record demonstrates a lack of readiness to govern effectively.
In his remarks, Nana Adoma Agyei, the Chief of Asuotiano, praised Hon. Twum Barima for his developmental efforts in the Dormaa East Constituency.
The chief also called for peaceful conduct during the election period, urging residents to avoid divisive and abusive language that could threaten national unity.
The Dormaa East NPP Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Dauda, lauded Hon. Twum Barima’s performance during his first term as MP, citing his role in securing jobs for youth in the security services and his contributions to apprenticeship programs and infrastructure development.
He advocated for re-election, stating that his achievements qualify him to lead the constituency toward continued progress.
