Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, has applauded the Judicial system of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), for the speed with which it treats matters brought against entities who are alleged to have violated the rules and regulations governing football in Ghana.

The revered Traditional ruler did not hide his admiration for the work of the Judicial system, including the Prosecutor, when President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku paid a courtesy call on him at Dormaa Ahenkro at the weekend.

“I have taken notice of the rapidity with which judicial decisions are delivered. The era of delayed judgements is now a thing of the past and that, for me, is welcoming. I will urge you to continue this trajectory of dispensing justice fairly and timeously,” Nana Dormaahene said.

“I want to acknowledge the work of the GFA Prosecutor. I think he has been very swift in dealing with matters of infractions of the GFA rules and regulations. I see his work and he must be commended and encouraged to do more,” Nana Dormaahene told the GFA delegation gathered at his Palace on Sunday August 11, 2024.

“I have seen the swiftness and importance he attaches to his work and that’s extremely commendable. It’s a clear departure from the past and that must be highlighted and glorified.  The Prosecutor has brought in innovation and energy, and that, for me is commendable. The whole judicial system has improved tremendously.”

President Simeon-Okraku’s courtesy call on the Dormaahene was to pay homage to the highly respected Traditional Ruler as well as to discuss issues related to the growth of football in the Brong Ahafo Football Region, in particular, and Ghana Football in general.

The visit was also to officially inform Nana Dormaahene about his successful visit to the Brong Ahafo Football Region which had key highlights being the ‘Meet The Press” Series as well as meetings with other stakeholders including the leadership of the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association (BARFA) and representatives of Premier, Women and Division One League Clubs based in the region.
