Communities in Ada and Sege came alive when the NPP’s Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia took his possible campaign tour to these constituencies, projecting his Bold Solutions for the country. In all constituencies, Dr Bawumia chronicled the achievements of the government and laid before the electorates his vision to continue with the transformative agenda.
Dr Bawumia who addressed challenges put before him by the traditional leaders, pledged to build a sea defence wall, a fishing harbour and fix an automatic premix dispenser at Sege and its environs.
Dr Bawumia began his tour with a courtesy call on the Traditional Council at Ada to seek their blessing and permission to campaign in the area. He later on held a stakeholders engagement at the Ada Technical Institute. The stakeholders had the opportunity to put forward their concerns.
Dr Bawumia later on made whistle stops at Kasseh and Sege for a meet and greet session which is a key part of his campaign to bond with the grassroots. Party supporters came out in their numbers to share a rare moment with the Vice President and the Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr Bawumia amid cheers and excitement.
The flagbearer moved from shop to shop to interact with the people, embracing and shaking hands with the traders, pedestrians and drivers among others which got them excited.
His convoy made a stop at the Ada Senior High Technical, Sege where students who are beneficiaries of the flagship programme, Free SHS massed up at their entrance with a rousing welcome. Dr Bawumia next stop was a Stakeholder engagement with the Traditional leaders, Religious Leaders, Muslim clerics, Artisans, and other professional groups in the constituency at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church of Ghana, at Sege. After listening to their concerns, Dr. Bawumia put forth his policies, which he describes as a game changer which will make Ghana catch up with the developed world.
He promised to give the constituency a sea defence, fishing harbour with an automatic premix fuel dispenser to help the fishermen. Dr appealed for their votes, to help him lead Ghana to its next phase of development, stressing that he will be accountable.
Dr Bawumia promised jobs especially for the youth.
