The flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has described the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration as an “outgoing government”.
He used the expression while expressing his concern over the possible mis use of the US$600 million IMF loan facility,
With some eleven months left for the elections on December 7, 2024, the former President’s confidence of winning the polls gives him no doubt to describe the incumbent as an outgoing administration — a description that’s given to a regime that has lost power.
In a Facebook post Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Mr. Mahama, whilst expressing concern over the continuous suffering of Ghanaians under the NPP, was very optimistic the elephant family will go to opposition after the December 7 polls.
“Before that, I again urge the outgoing NPP government to be cautious, responsible and judicious in utilising the IMF $600 million and other funds that may be made available to Ghana from the World Bank and other development partners,” he noted.
