The 2026 Elite U15 Championship got underway with a series of exciting matches as teams battled for early points on matchday one.
Elite Academy Bolga opened their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Eastern Region, courtesy of a decisive strike from Asankoma Genevieve. Upper West Region also enjoyed a winning start, defeating Upper East Region 2-0 through goals from Adamu Ayanata and Nammei Luki Nasha.
Volta Region edged Northern Region 2-1 in a closely contested encounter. Hlomavor Mary and Deku Sedinam gave Volta a two-goal cushion before Haruna Rahama reduced the deficit for Northern Region.
The biggest win of the day came from Brong Ahafo, who cruised to a 4-0 triumph over Central Region. Christabel Boahen scored twice, while Racheal Akanye added a second-half brace.
In the final match, Western Region secured a 2-0 victory over Ashanti Region with goals from Sheila Owusu and Freda Moono.
