(Photo by Alex MARTIN / AFP via Getty Images)Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah opened the scoring as Lyon defeated Sparta Prague 3-0 at Groupama Stadium on Tuesday evening.The result completed a 4-2 aggregate victory for the French side in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.Nuamah struck in the 20th minute, giving Lyon an early advantage and setting the tone for a convincing performance. His goal was particularly important because Sparta were reduced to ten men shortly afterward, when Adam Sevinsky received a red card for stopping a clear scoring opportunity.Lyon controlled the match from that point and continued to apply pressure after the break. Ainsley Maitland-Niles doubled the home sides lead in the 66th minute, finishing a move created by Corentin Tolisso. Six minutes later, Tyler Morton added a third goal to remove any remaining doubt.Nuamah remained involved until the 76th minute, when he was replaced by Kail Boudache. His contribution helped Lyon secure a comfortable victory and move closer to the Champions League group stage.The Ghana internationals composed finish also provided a welcome attacking highlight on a night when Lyons discipline and efficiency made the difference.
