The family of the late Pastor Prof. Jacob Jonas Nortey has called on management of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation in Accra.
Their visit was to officially inform GBC about the funeral arrangements of their late son. Pastor Prof. Jacob Jonas Nortey, also known as J.J Nortey, passed on after a short illness at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on June 22, 2023.
The family of Pastor Prof. Jacob Jonas Nortey was accompanied by representatives of the Seventh-Day Adventists Church. The late pastor was the last of four children and a father to many people. He was the former President of the Africa-Indian Ocean Division and Vice-President of the General Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists Church.
A former A.M.A. chief executive, Mr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, who is also the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South Constituency, spoke about the late pastor.
Management of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation expressed condolences to the family.
The burial service, which is scheduled to take place on September 15, 2023 on the Valley View University campus at Oyibi, will be transmitted live on Ghana Television.
The deceased left behind a daughter and two grandchildren. He died at 84.
