Match Day 4 of the Elite U15 Boys Championship saw Greater Accra Region and Upper West Region secure crucial results in Group B fixtures.
In the opening match, Greater Accra Region edged out Brong Ahafo Region with a slender 1-0 victory, courtesy of a decisive strike from Emmanuel Wilson.
The win allowed Greater Accra to draw level with Volta Region at the top of the Group B standings, both holding 9 points. Despite the loss, Gideon Gyabaah of Brong Ahafo Region was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his impressive performance.
In the other Group B encounter, Upper West Region and Central Region battled to a 1-1 draw in regulation time. Osman Hamdan put Upper West ahead before Central Region’s Obodai Samuel equalized, setting up a dramatic conclusion.
The match eventually went to penalties, where Upper West Region emerged victorious. Osman Hamdan, who scored during regulation time, was named the MVP for his efforts.
These results intensify the competition in Group B, setting up an exciting conclusion to the Elite U15 Boys Championship as teams continue to battle for the top positions.
