Former Asante Kotoko defender Charles Owusu says he was unable to excel for the Ghanaian giants due to injury setbacks.
The former BA United left-back joined the Porcupine Warriors in October 2021, signing a three-year deal.
Owusu was shown the exit door after failing to impress at the former Ghana Premier League champions.
Speaking to Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com, the 27-year-old attributed his unsuccessful spell at Kotoko to persistent injuries.
“My season with Kotoko was plagued by injuries. I couldn’t live up to expectations because of persistent injuries. The whole of last season I was unable to play football due to injury setbacks. I’m praying to secure move in order to partake in the 2024/25 football season” he said.
The former Kotoko defender signed for Bofoakwa Tano before the start of the 2023/24 season but did not make any appearances due to injury.
