Freedom Jacob Caesar Wanted Me As His Running Mate But I Rejected His Offer Because I Am Committed To My Constituency – Samia Nkrumah Reveals

Samia Nkrumah, former Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and the daughter of Ghana’s first President, Dr kwame Nkrumah, has explained her decision to decline Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar)’s offer to be his running mate in the upcoming elections in a recent interview.

Cheddar, the leader of the New Force party, admired the Nkrumah’s legacy and saw Samia as an ideal partner to continue that tradition.

Despite being flattered by the proposal, Samia turned it down, as she remains committed to regaining the Jomoro seat in Parliament, believing it is essential for the Nkrumahi vision to be represented there.

She clarified that her decision was not based on doubts about Cheddar’s ideology or policies.

Instead, she emphasized the need for a strategic political approach, especially during Ghana’s current economic challenges.
