French Ligue 1 heavyweights Olympique Lyon are in pole position to secure the services of English-born Ghanaian forward Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this summer.
The 21-year-old is expected to leave Crystal Palace in the ongoing transfer window in search of regular playing time in the upcoming campaign.
Despite showing glimpses of good performance in preseason, the forward could be farmed out on loan.
Sakyi has emerged as a transfer target for several clubs including Southampton.
And according to reports in the UK media, Crystal Palace are unwilling to sanction a move to Premier League rivals, giving Lyon the advantage in the acquisition of the forward.
Sakyi has been impressive for Crystal Palace in the ongoing preseason as the team gear up for the new season.
The Ghanaian forward current contract with the Premier League club is expected to expire in the summer of 2027.
Born and raised in London, Sakyi remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
