FWF Microfinance Limited, four times winner of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Microfinance Company of the Award, has extended its benevolence to the Tema Community 22 Polyclinic.
The company as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to the communities within which it operates, donated some items to the health facility to aid in healthcare delivery.
The items donated included one unit of baby cot and five units of three-in-one visitors’ chairs to the Community 22 health facility as its ‘thank you’ for the support it has received from the facility that continues to take good care of its clients over the years.
The Ashaiman-based microfinance company with three branches in the municipality, described the CSR initiative as self-accountability to themselves, stakeholders and the general public as a means of ensuring sustainability.
The donation to the polyclinic is the third expression of benevolence by FWF Microfinance Limited after the presentation of learning materials to the Tsui Bleo Public Primary School at Lebanon in Ashaiman and gallons of paint to the Lebanon Police Station.
CEO of FWF Microfinance Limited, Robert Mensah Aheto, expressed his outfit’s gratitude to their clients whose continuous faith in the institution has enabled it not only to become a four-time CIMG award winner but also inducted into its ‘Hall of Fame.’ Therefore, giving back to the community whose savings with the brand have kept the institution running to create employment in Ashaiman is not far-fetched.
“We have remained strong despite the turbulence in the banking and non-banking financial sector because our clients have remained solid with us. FWF Microfinance Limited, therefore, encourages everybody, including students who want to do ‘susu’ to trust us with their savings.
“As key stakeholders within the Ashaiman Municipality and its environs, we promise to do more for people we prefer to describe as family and stakeholders of our business,” he said.
Mr. Aheto, further stressed that the company wants to grow together with its clients. “As our investments grow, so do we want our customers’ businesses to also grow, then together we can share in a sustainable community development story.”
The Administrator of the Community 22 Polyclinic, Dr Adolph Bansah, who received the items on behalf of the facility, lauded FWF Microfinance for its benevolent support of the facility. She stated that the equipment would be instrumental to pediatric healthcare delivery at the facility.
“The hospital will encourage people to save with FWF Microfinance to enable it to save more to support the community,” Dr Bansah encouraged his staff at the presentation and the public.
