Gabby Otchere-Darko, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has sharply criticized those who believe in the authenticity of the controversial “Agyapadeɛ” document.

He labelled such belief as irrational and questioned the intelligence of its proponents.

On the other hand, proponents of the ‘Agyapadeɛ’ Document argue that it provides a unique insight into the political dynamics of the country. They claim that the document accurately predicts current political events, which they believe is a testament to its authenticity.

“If any intelligent person or someone who considers themselves intelligent believes that a family, having one of their leaders offered the opportunity to lead the country, would conspire against the nation and include the image of the head of the family on such a document, you must have your head examined if you believe that,” Otchere-Darko stated.

He further described assertions that the document’s content manifests in reality as “imbecilic,” criticizing those who fail to appreciate it as mere fiction.

“When I hear people try to say that things in the book are happening, let me explain to you, and it’s a very imbecilic statement even to hear because it comes from a non-analytical appreciation of what is in that fiction,” he added.

The ‘Agyapadeɛ’ document, a 38-page text, is alleged to outline a plot for state capture by influential figures of Akyem descent. If proven to be authentic, this document could significantly alter the political landscape of Ghana, potentially leading to widespread political upheaval.

It features images of President Nana Akufo-Addo and his father, former President Edward Akufo-Addo. It portrays the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, on its cover.

The document, which lacks an identifiable author, purportedly aims to establish the Akyem kingdom as the most dominant in Ghana.
