The Executive Committee of the Ghana Badminton Association (GBA) has paid a courtesy visit to the national badminton team ahead of their participation in the 2026 All African Senior Badminton Championship.

The delegation was led by the President of the GBA, Evans Yeboah, who expressed the association’s support for the team. During the visit, the committee presented training equipment and food items to support the players during their camping period. Mr. Yeboah urged the team to aim for podium success as they prepare to travel to Gaborone, Botswana, to represent Ghana.

Fellow Executive Committee member Evelyn Asare also pledged the board’s support, reaffirming the association’s commitment to the welfare of the players ahead of the tournament.

Responding on behalf of the team, captain of the national badminton side, Ahmad Samad Abdul, thanked the executive committee for the visit and the show of concern. He noted that the team’s preparations were progressing well and expressed confidence in achieving positive results at the championship.

The 2026 All African Senior Badminton Championship will take place in Gaborone, Botswana, from February 9 to February 15.
