GBC grabs five awards at 2022 GJA Awards

The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation has bagged five awards at the just-ended 27th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards.

Out of a total of 34 categories, GBC received nominations for five categories through the hard work and diligence of staff. Four, namely, sports, photojournalism, online news, and radio documentary, failed to produce a winner.

Gifty Adjei was awarded the Best News Feature of the Year (Television).

This was followed by another prestigious award going to Doreen Ampofo for her best feature (Radio). 

In the Arts & Entertainment category, Kwaku Bolton took home an award for reporter of the year.

Again, Akua Oforiwaa Darko took an award in the Environment category, while Beatrice Senadju was recognised for her work on health.

PAV Ansah award for the journalist of the year: Erastus Asare Donkor Multimedia Group Limited

Collincia Affah, UCC: Best student journalist

Female journalist of the year: Francisca Enchill, Joynews

Komla Dumor Most promising journalist of the year: Neta Kris Abiana Parsram (Multimedia)
