The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has named Coach Kassim Ocansey, popularly known as Kassim Mingle as head coach of the national U-23 male team, the Black Meteors.
Coach Mingle, currently the head coach of Nations FC, brings extensive experience from his successful stints with Great Olympics, Bechem United, and various academies, colts, and second-tier football teams in Ghana.
Mingle has an exceptional ability to develop young talent, he is poised to lead the Black Meteors’ revival as a force in international football.
The Black Meteors, Africa’s first nation to win an Olympic football medal at the 1992 Barcelona Games, are aiming to regain their prominence under Mingle’s guidance.
Drawing from his rich footballing background, which includes playing for top-tier clubs like Dumas Boys of GTP, GIHOC Stars, and Sekondi Eleven Wise, Mingle is expected to instil discipline and competitiveness in the team.
The GFA expressed confidence in his expertise, stating, “Coach Kassim Mingle’s expertise and experience will be invaluable in building a formidable Black Meteors team that would be ultimately successful.”
