GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum has outlined the agenda for the GFA Congress that commenced today at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.
The event, a significant gathering of football stakeholders from across the nation, will span two days to prevent an overloaded schedule.
Delegates, club directors, and CEOs arrived at the venue by 12:00 noon. Asante Twum highlighted the recent improvements at the Prampram facility and the GFA’s vision for the future.
“Congress normally if it is ordinary Congress we usually do it one day but this time we have decided to do a two day congress because we don’t want things to pile up like that. Today we are starting we are looking forward to 12 delegates, club directors, and CEOs will come to Prampram,” he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
“One of the reason is that today Prampram is a beautiful place there has been some changes at the facility so we needed to account to the football stakeholders. The football that you gave to us this is the level we have reached this is our vision, what we have done and the things in front of us. So today we will do a lot of engagement discussions, stakeholder engagement then one or two things we have done we will unveil them to the football family.
“We will do sod cutting we have already indicated that we want to build futsal arena, swimming pool and gym at Prampram we will do the sod cutting today at those facilities. Apart from that two years ago we announced that Betpawa’s money the gave us we have set some aside to use for BetPawa Park that one too we have finished.
“We will unveiled it to the football stakeholders also after the World Cup 2022 the profits we got after government took theirs what we got we have decided to build forty bed brand new hostel facility to add to what we have. That one too God willing tomorrow we will unveil that to the football echo system,”
