The Ghana Football Association’s nationwide talent identification programme for the Black Starlets will continue in the Western and Western North regions as coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle and his technical team search for Ghana’s next generation of U-17 players.
The two-phase scouting exercise begins on June 29 at Mampiobo Park in Juaboso before moving to Kobby’s Park in Takoradi on July 1. Activities at both venues will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The exercise targets talented boys born in 2010 and 2011, with players from clubs, colts teams and football academies expected to participate.
Coach Mingle’s technical team will assess participants based on their technical ability, tactical awareness, physical attributes and overall potential.
Outstanding performers will progress to the next stage at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram for further evaluation before the final Black Starlets squad is assembled.
The programme follows similar successful scouting exercises held in the Upper West, Upper East, Northern, Brong Ahafo and Ashanti regions.
