The build-up to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Football Festival in Agona Swedru has officially begun, with activities set to run from Friday through Sunday, promising an exciting weekend of top-flight football.

Preparations are already underway at Obrempon FC in Swedru, where organisers are putting final measures in place ahead of the three-day event. The festival will bring together some of Ghana’s top clubs to compete at a single venue in what is expected to be a celebration of the local game.

The action kicks off on Friday with Aduana FC taking on Nations FC. On Saturday, Dreams FC will face Medeama SC in another highly anticipated encounter. The festival will conclude on Sunday with a Women’s Premier League clash between Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies.

Organisers say the event is aimed at promoting football development and strengthening fan engagement, while also providing clubs with competitive match experience.

With three days of action-packed fixtures lined up, Swedru is bracing for a vibrant atmosphere as fans gather to witness some of the country’s finest talents on display.

The GFA Football Festival is expected to draw significant attention as the season continues to build momentum.
