President Simeon-Okraku and General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo have met with the leadership of the Beach Soccer Committee and Premier League Clubs ahead of the commencement of the 2024 season which kicks off on Saturday June 8, 2024.
The meeting, held at the Headquarters of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), deliberated on a wide range of impressive issues including the development of structures to make the sport attractive and the need to redraft the Beach Soccer Regulations to enhance governance.
The meeting also discussed organising of refresher courses to help equip officials with administrative knowledge and skills.
Some of the far-reaching decisions reached included the introduction of television broadcast and expansion of the Beach Soccer Premier League across all the coastal regions of Ghana.
The national Beach Soccer team will start preparations towards the upcoming Beach Soccer AFCON qualifiers in earnest in some weeks’ time.
The 2024 Beach Soccer League season will run for 15 weeks commencing Saturday June 8, 2024.
The Ghana Football Association will provide 5 Beach Soccer balls each and other necessary technical and logistical support to all participating teams.
There are currently 14 Beach Soccer Premier League Clubs with other Division One Beach Soccer League clubs in the 10 footballing regions of Ghana.
