Ghana’s national schools football teams are set to compete in the upcoming 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship Finals, scheduled to take place in Accra, Ghana. Both the boys and girls teams have been placed in Group A. The championship is scheduled to run from Wednesday, April 23, 2025, to Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Over the four days, teams will play multiple matches, with the top teams from each group vying for a place in the knockout stages. The event promises to be a celebration of youth football and a great opportunity for players to gain valuable experience.

The boys’ team will face tough competition, as they have been grouped with Uganda, South Africa, and Algeria. These teams are known for their strong youth football programs and will provide Ghana’s boys with challenging matches throughout the tournament. The Ghanaian boys team will look to leverage home advantage and aim for a strong performance on their home soil.

Similarly, the girls’ team has also been drawn into Group A, where they will compete against Morocco, Benin, and Malawi. These teams will present different styles of play, and Ghana’s girls will need to be at their best to advance beyond the group stage. The tournament offers a vital platform for young female footballers to demonstrate their skills and potentially attract attention from scouts and coaches.

Ghana, as the host nation, will be eager to perform well in both categories and secure a victory on home turf. The tournament is expected to draw significant crowds and media attention, highlighting the importance of youth development in African football.
