Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, is being showered with praise and well wishes on social media as he celebrates his 52nd birthday today, June 1st.

Ghanaians, particularly football enthusiasts, have taken to Twitter to commemorate Okraku, who assumed the GFA presidency after winning a closely contested election in 2019.

Former Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda, led the tributes by writing, “Sufficient Grace Mr President. Happy birthday.”

Okraku has been at the helm of the GFA for three and a half years, experiencing both highs and lows during his tenure. Notable achievements include Ghana’s victory in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in 2021 and the Black Stars’ qualification for the World Cup in 2022.

However, there have also been challenges, such as the suspension of the Black Maidens due to age cheating. Despite these obstacles, Okraku has exuded confidence in recent interviews as elections draw closer, indicating his intention to contest for another term as GFA President.
