Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana has returned to Atalanta for pre-season training following a season-long loan spell with fellow Serie A side Cagliari.The Black Stars midfielder returns to his parent club after Cagliari opted not to exercise the purchase option in the deal.The 23-year-old is among the players who have resumed training at Atalantas preseason camp as the club begins its build-up to another demanding campaign in the Italian top flight.Sulemanas return comes after a challenging summer in which he missed the opportunity to represent Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The midfielder was not included in the Black Stars squad for the global tournament, but he will now be looking to put that disappointment behind him by impressing Atalantas technical team during preseason.The former Hellas Verona player spent the 2025/26 campaign at Cagliari, where he gained valuable first-team experience in Serie A.
