Officials from the Ghana Mission in the United Arab Emirates have paid a morale-boosting visit to the camp of the Ghana women’s national football team, who are in the country for the ongoing Pink Ladies Cup.
The delegation comprising Consular Officer Percy Okudzeto, Consul and Head of Chancery Abdul-Jalil Sigli Yakubu Abdulai and Head of Transport Anas Shaibu, met with players and technical staff to reaffirm the governments unwavering support and commitment to the teams safety and welfare.
The visit comes at a time of heightened concern following reports of unrest in parts of the Middle East. Against that backdrop, the diplomatic officials sought to reassure the squad that their security remains a top priority.
During an interactive session with the players, Consular Officer Percy Okudzeto emphasized that the Ghanaian government, through its embassy in the UAE, is closely monitoring developments and maintaining constant communication with relevant authorities.

Consul and Head of Chancery Abdul-Jalil Sigli Yakubu Abdulai echoed those sentiments, reiterating the missions readiness to provide immediate assistance should the need arise during the teams stay.
The players and team leadership expressed deep appreciation for the visit, describing it as both timely and uplifting. They noted that the presence of Ghanas diplomatic representatives had strengthened morale and reinforced a sense of national solidarity far from home.
