The Ghana Publishing Company Limited is engaging the tax authorities over an outstanding Value Added Tax liability of approximately GH¢22 million covering the period from 2020 to 2024.
The company’s Managing Director, Nana Kwesi Boaitey, disclosed this at the Government Accountability Series at the Presidency in Accra.
He said management had received a letter from the tax authority about a month before the presentation, indicating the outstanding liability.

Mr Boaitey said the company was engaging the authority to find a way of addressing the matter.
The disclosure comes as the company reports a significant improvement in its financial performance, recording a profit after tax of GH¢16.96 million in 2025, compared with GH¢2.23 million in 2024.
The Managing Director said management remained focused on strengthening the company’s financial position and sustaining the gains made through its ongoing reforms.
